More crates

And then, it got out of control....

Thursday, April 28, 2022

I bought a Cutty Sark whiskey crate that will work perfectly as an album holder. As in vinyl albums, the ones making a comeback now. You can even buy them at Wal-mart. Anyway, that crate got me started on a project to repair an old fruit/vegetable crate that I've had for years. That lead me to finding out that there are a lot of vintage crate labels from the 1930's, 40's and 50's that exist but were never used on crates. Surplus labels and people buy, sell and trade them. A couple of weeks later, I have 6 crates in my garage now.

So, after reading up on the etching process, I'm still not certain I completely understand it but, it is certainly a fairly involved process. In the meantime, I bought another etching by K. Catin.

Even more art has been purchased. A signed etching by Kathleen Cantin.

And then this crazy print . Not certain if original period piece (19th cent.) or reproduction: If it is an authentic period piece it is a lithograph from 1862.

Me, the art collector

So, I bought a couple of paintings from an auction house.

And then, I was given this painting.

Sculpture

My son inherited this sculpture. I have it at my house right now. I'm starting to like it.
